TERMS & CONDITIONS
By using this website, making a purchase, or booking a class or workshop, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding.
Section 1 — Product Orders
Placing an order
By placing an order through this site you are making an offer to purchase a product. We reserve the right to decline any order. Once your order is confirmed you will receive an email confirmation. For made to order pieces, production begins following confirmation of payment.
Payment
Full payment is required at the time of ordering. Payments are processed securely through Wix Payments or PayPal.
Made to order
Made to order pieces are handcrafted individually in the studio and typically take two to three weeks to complete before dispatch. This is an estimate and cannot be guaranteed. You will be notified when your order is dispatched.
Shipping
We aim to dispatch in stock items within 3 working days. A signed for delivery service is used on all orders over £50. International customers are responsible for any customs duties or import taxes incurred. Please refer to our full Shipping & Returns Policy for further details.
Returns and refunds
Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery provided items are in their original condition. Refunds are issued for the cost of the item minus original shipping costs. Items that arrive damaged or faulty will be refunded in full. Made to order items cannot be returned or refunded unless damaged or faulty on arrival. Please refer to our full Shipping & Returns Policy for further details.
Liability
Mathew Paul Jinks is not liable for any loss or inconvenience resulting from delays in shipping, carrier errors, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Section 2 — Classes, Workshops & Courses
We want every class and workshop to be an enjoyable and rewarding experience. By booking any class, workshop, or course through this site you agree to the following terms and conditions.
Booking and payment
Full payment is required at the time of booking. You will receive an email confirmation upon booking, and a follow up email closer to the start date to confirm details. If you have any questions prior to booking please contact us at jinkspottery@gmail.com.
Health and safety
You will receive a health and safety briefing at the start of every session. An apron and appropriate protective equipment will be provided. Please wear clothes you do not mind getting dirty. Long hair should be tied back and loose jewellery should not be worn. We are not liable for any damage to clothing or personal belongings during sessions.
Your ceramics
We aim to glaze, fire, and return any ceramics made during workshops within two to three weeks. Occasionally this may take longer due to firing schedules or unforeseen circumstances.
Cancellations by you
We are happy to transfer your booking to a later date or issue a refund if you notify us by email at jinkspottery@gmail.com at least 7 days before the start of your session. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the start date will not be eligible for a date change or refund. Non-attendance without prior notice will not be refunded.
Refunds
Where a refund is due it will be processed within 30 days. Classes booked using a gift voucher cannot be refunded, but the value can be held on account for up to 6 months.
Cancellations by us
In the event that a class or workshop is cancelled by us, a full refund of any payment received will be issued. We will provide as much notice as possible using the contact details provided at the time of booking. Please ensure your details are correct when booking.
Gift vouchers
All gift vouchers are valid for 6 months from the date of issue and must be booked within this period. Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash and are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Liability
Mathew Paul Jinks does not accept liability for lost or damaged personal possessions during classes or workshops, and will not be liable for any loss resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
