Service Description

A one day 10am-3pm wheel throwing intensive learning experience focused on plate production. Learn to form plate shapes in different styles; lipped, side plate, dinner plate using ribs and textures, applying slips. Choose your best plate and I will fire and glaze it for you. 5 people max, small class intensive learning environment. Bring a packed lunch and spend the day learning the basics of wheel throwing, perfect for beginners. We will look at the foundational core skills of clay prep, posture at the wheel, centering, hand grips, No experience needed, no tools needed, just bring enthusuiasm, snacks will be provided. Mathew Jinks holds a full current DBS adults and children certificate and has over 10 years experience teaching at the College level in both the USA and UK.
