2025 recap

It may be a little pre-emptive but this year has ended on a real high for my studio. It started in March with a new space in YoYo Yards, A blessing in itself, I hadn’t made pots in 2 years, then I met an Angel in Agnes and the universe provided through her a wheel and a kiln, and I answered by making work. My first fair at Towner (Eastbourne) was a wonderful community eye opener for me, my work was clunky and not yet on its feet. Then a near miss as I was very very nearly on this new season of Pottery Throwdown airing in Jan 26, but it was a blessing as the energy of that process kicked me into a refining mode and finding myself in the studio, a much needed growth spurt occurred. I visited Ceramics Arts London which I loved and promised myself one day I would be there. The Open Houses at YOYO Yards in May was amazing and such a great networking opportunity. The big hit came at the end of year though in the shape of Primrose Hill Designers Fair. I had already started to pick up some stockists in the U.K and Ireland but Primrose was a lovely selling experience of passionate buyers and engaged conversations. People bought from the heart and fell in love with my work which filled me up completely 🫶🏻

A huge thanks to Jo and My sis Emma for giving me the chance, I will be back there in June :)

And then the last Open Studios in Brighton in Nov/Dec was plagued by THE worst weather but you supported and came out on the trail and again Thankyou the conversations alone were worth every cold rain soaked day of it. And the whole while I started teaching more and more and my students were all perfect for me and the work I make. For me pottery and talk therapy, flow state, is closely aligned and the people who need more than group classes sought me out by word of mouth and sometimes my crappy flyers in the sauna changing rooms. In all of this I managed to co parent an 8 year old who I love unreservedly, bottle some homemade wine, continue, just about to be a Samaritan on the phones, and learn to love Agnes with all my heart. So here’s to 2026, more fairs, more teaching, more work, a bigger heart 🫶🏻
