Ceramics

Wheel thrown, hand built, pit fired, wild clay/black clay

The alchemy of glass and mud, form and function, the joy of seeing wares used and held. Forms viewed on the wall, vessels laden with flowers, adornement. Ancient clays dug from the land, fired with wood on the land, returned to the land after use, thanks given.

Japanese inspired wheel thrown table ware from black clay with hand mixed glazes.

Wheel Thrown

Hand built works from Anglo Saxon wild clay pits in Suffolk, open pit wood fired, grogged with shell and local sand.

Pit Fired Wild Clay

Forms to hold glaze and color explore line and texture, to be hung in the horizontal plane.
